COVID 19 Massage Update
With the easing of Covid 19 restrictions we are all now able to safely benefit from a massage.
There will not surprisingly be some changes in how your appointment will proceed, in order to prevent the spread of infection and keep us all safe.
Following both government guidance and that of Sports Therapist Association I have carried out a risk assessment, in accordance to the Health and Safety Executive and the General Council of Massage Therapists.
I can now determine what situations, or related activities may increase the cause transmission of Covid 19, who could be at risk and exposed and how to adapt or remove the risk.
There are now additional health screening forms relating to Covid-19, these will be emailed to you to determine if treatment is suitable at this time, and if any adaptions need to be made and will be discussed via our an online consultation. This is to help the pre-screening forms and to use this time for postural assessment and confirm the reasons for treatment. For new clients this will take roughly 30 minutes, but if you are a regular client, we may only need 15 to 20 minutes.
I can inform you of all other changes and what to expect during time working together.
Firstly I can assure you that all steps and measures are in place to resume our work together in accordance with government guidelines and this will be the norm for the foreseeable future.
Your health and wellbeing (and mine!) is of the utmost importance and this has all been taken into account when assessing my massage space and how I can provide the same service you are used to but in a new way of doing so.
If you have any questions or concerns please do get in touch.
Massage Couch or Chair?
If the idea of a massage on the couch doesn’t appeal at the moment, but you do need some hands on work for your back, shoulders and neck, then a seated massage in the specially designed chair is a great alternative. You remain fully clothed throughout the treatment and sit comfortably with your back to me.
All the same protocols apply for the treatment from online consultation and screening forms to aftercare and follow up.
Appointments are limited while we get back into the swing of things, so if you would like to make an appointment for either a massage on the couch or chair, then get in touch, via the contact button below or email caroline@completefit.co.uk
