5 tips for busy midlife women who don’t have time move / exercise:
Schedule exercise in your dairy:
Block out time for exercise in your schedule just as you would for any other important appointment. Even if it is for 5 minutes, block it out.
This will help ensure that you make time to move, throughout the day and week. And it all adds up.
Find activities you enjoy:
Choose activities that you enjoy and that will fit into your lifestyle and timetable.
Weights workout, walking, yoga, swimming, dancing…
When you enjoy an activity and look forward to doing it you’re more likely to stick with it.
Literally no time for something structured, then incorporating exercise into your daily routine: Look for ways to incorporate exercise into your daily routine, such as taking the stairs, doing a mini workout while the kettle boils, park a little further away from shop/office, take a lunch break and go for a walk during your lunch break.
Also looking at all you have going on… does this need to be reviewed?
Have a workout buddy or join a fitness class. A great way to get moving and keep it up is to have someone else to exercise with, to help keep you accountable and motivated
