I did not begin my fitness journey until my early 30’s. The most activity I did before then were toning tables and walking my children round the park in their pushchairs whilst following a diet plan, thinking that was enough to get the changes I wanted. It was not!
I began working with a Personal Trainer (later to become my boss) and experienced first-hand the benefits of exercise. Now having been involved in exercise and fitness for over 10 years, my health, fitness and physique is better than it was in my 20’s!
I know that diet and exercise work hand in hand and I am passionate about sharing my experiences and helping people achieve their personal goals. I have worked with many people over the years, and learnt that we are all very individual, especially as we age, our bodies change, our needs change and we have to adapt accordingly.
I have worked with many women at varying life stages – Pre and Post-natal to Pre and Post Menopause and beyond. I am also aware through observation and experience that our lives are stressful, full on and often leave little time to focus on what “I need” as an individual.
This led me to massage and the benefits of it. It complements our exercise routines and help our general wellbeing and following on from there, the Burrell Education Holistic Core Restore® programmes designed for women.
I strongly believe that all these elements go hand in hand – the more we get our bodies to move – through movement, massage and self-care, the better we feel, the more we can do in the here and now and will want to do our future.
